I think a lot of the best of Florida is to be found in Shores' photo thread.
I have really enjoyed Florida's natural beauty, and the wildlife.
But one outstanding thing we saw last May was the airshow at Tyndall. The feats of flying were incredible.
Here are the Thunderbirds:

And here is a squadron of pelicans over Cape San Blas:

I agree.

I figure not everyone has photos so I thought this would be a good idea. Plus it's a nice companion for the "worst" thread. I also figure a newbie would see one and look for the other; just wanted to keep it balanced.

It's funny: everyone justs assumes I dislike Florida. I am comfortable examining all takes on the matter. Florida could be paradise; it could be hell.

Either way is cool with me.

Muggy, I've never thought that you dislike Florida. Yeah, you have your moments but to me your posts show a lot of insight. I really appreciate the fact that you *can* examine all sides with a minimum of hyperbole.
Where I live, no buildings are taller than 3 stories, there is no movie theater, there are two traffic lights. Amenities are few. But the scenic beauty is nonstop.
