Florida condo deregulation: Bill would deregulate condos, dump ombudsman - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

Why should we be surprised, we have a criminal as a Governor.
Their agenda is to turn Florida into a no regulation wasteland where no family will want to come. Of course business will be happy to come here and run wild.
I guess that is the trade off. When Scott and his republican cronies are done this will not be a place any of us will want to live unless we have criminal backgrounds. I guess the next thing will be giving Carte Blanche to child molesters, just wait. I actually don't think I am exaggerating. The damage they are doing will possibly take decades to repair. Not to mention the "Open carry law" they are going to pass. That will really bring out the nut jobs. Great, all we need are crazy's wearing guns like this is Dodge city. By the way, I have a permit and shoot several times a month and own a number of guns. I am not anti gun, quite the opposite.

Yeah, this sure isn't the Florida I grew up in. The only thing I ask is to keep working for four more years so I can retire and get out.

The usual suspects with their usual inflammatory rhetoric not withstanding, I agree that some of the changes (particularly the ones regarding condos and management) are a bad idea. Some of the changes can probably be made without problem (i.e. do we really need to pay for a Board of Landscape Architecture or regulate talent agents, hair braiders and ballroom dance studios?) Some of this stuff is definitely a waste of time and money but some if it is not and this bill paints with too broad a brush. I'll send an email to my rep...hope you guys aren't just a bunch of hot air and will do the same.

Not me! I call and email all the time. I can't stand it when people only complain and do nothing.

Also, lighten up just a little, I wasn't looking to be all that serious.

Maggi07, at the risk of alienating you from some of your like-minded posters, you are the only one I have any respect for and I was not directing my remark to you.

Oh crap, there goes my internet popularity.

In all seriousness, I do try my best to look at all sides of issues and I do appreciate that you do the same, regardless of whether or not we come to the same conclusions.

Open carry doesn't have people wearing guns around Houston like it's Dodge City, It's actually kind of the opposite. Many people think twice before committing a crime because you never know who's carrying...

It is really intended to get rid of the technicality where someone with a permit exposes their gun and gets in trouble. Problem is, people will take it literally.
