Our family of 7 is relocating to the Leesburg area and I'm looking for advice from anyone that lives within this area. My husband will be working in Leesburg and also at the Villages so we are looking for places to rent w/in a short (20-30min) commute. We want to rent for 2 yrs before buying. I am also interested in a house w/ lake access. We fly down on 5/15 to hopefully find our next home! We have 5 boys ages 11, 8, 7, 3, 2. I've researched A LOT and I'm trying to narrow down our search field to closer to Leesburg. (Not from Ocala to Orlando!!)

I have a home in Leesburg, and just spent the last 5 weeks there. I am back in NY now to ready my NY home to sell. When it sells I'll be living in Leesburg full time.

Lifelong Leesburg Resident
One thing for sure,There are plenty of places to rent in this area.You can talk them down some on the rent.With a family that size,I would look for a mobile home on an acre or so.Try to find a place with shade trees and a carport.They can be found for less than 600 a month. Some as low 400.a month with the option to buy.Don't be in a hurry and look around .
