Jupiter for me.

Like Vero, small enough town that it's accessible, but better beaches, and proximity to better shopping, dining and cultural amenities in Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and Boca.

Vero's plus is somewhat proximity to Orlando (hour or so), and an outlet mall.

Jupiter has more lively people who travel/more worldly and is closer to more activities.

Also, I would pick Naples/Marco Island, Sarasota, Boca Grande and Useppa Island before Vero for similar reasons (in the Season).

And I would pick Fisher Island and some areas in the Keys over Jupiter, if I were seeking status of the better address.
