Sure it's busy, but isn't that what you are looking for? And yes, most people speak Spanish. While I've never lived there, on my many visits I've never had an issue with waiters, store clerks, and other people I interact with not being able to speak English.

That said, few cities in the world compare to NYC, and none here truly do. If you really want a tropical version of New York, you'd probably be better off some place like Singapore or Hong Kong
Hong Kong, yes. Singapore, not so much. Been to both and Singapore is surprisingly sterile. The energy of HK is much closer to NYC.

As for Florida, SouthBeach is going to be the closest one can come to a NY feeling but it's more of the urban neighborhood experience, not the Midtown sort of experience of NYC.

I wonder if people go on the NYC board and ask which part is more like Florida?

If you move to SE FL say from Palm Beach County south to Dade you will probably find the greatest population of transplants and seasonal Manhattan and Southhampton types. I never found South Beach in Miami to be anything like NYC and surely you can't get a good street pretzel down here like in Manhattan.

Brickell in Miami is a nice neighborhood with luxury high rises, banks, restaurants, and is probably the most similar, urban area in FL, you will find to Manhattan.
