We are a family of 6 (4 small boys in elementry) We are moving to Florida either Tampa or Orlando. I am in the Non profit/Home Health/Human Services field and my husband is in the ITT field. Overall which would be the better city for us for jobs? We were thinking Lake Mary area but not sure of how bad the commutes are. We want an overall nice clean "newer" looking city. Coming from Phoenix, I don't want to feel like I'm going into an old place. Thanks in advance

I would say where you can cumulatively find the better jobs. The cost of living, crime rate, quality of schools and "newness" is equal in either area so would look to see which wins out and go from there.

I agree, both areas are comparable in most respects so it's really just go where you get the better opportunity. I don't think you would be disappointed either way.

overall both are nice but make sure that you both have good jobs before moving....4 children cannot (normally) be fed on 1 income...

I highly recommend Tampa. I think Tampa has more jobs than Orlando does.

Aztofla, if you don't mind me asking, why is it you and your family are relocating to Florida from Arizona? I'm curious because I've been considering moving from South Florida to Phoenix for quite some time now... Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
