Draw an imaginary line from Daytona Beach to to Clearwater. Anything south of this line is not southern.

The only part of the Tampa area that has a "southern" feel would be plant city, maybe even seffner but the rule of thumb is anything North of I4 (excluding Orlando area and Daytona Beach)

There are certain parts by lake Okeechobee that are damn southern though

LMAO, I can't!

One time, not long after I moved to FL, I tried ordering sweet tea at a restaurant in Boca.

Needless to say, the joke was on me.

Some of us Floridians wouldn't mind if all you Yankees went back north.

Sure was, Boca isn't Fla. It's a suburb of New Jork!

Wife still makes 'sweet tea' for anyone born before 1960 in Fla.

Yeah right.

Disney isn't a real city. It's more like a separate country within the state of Fla. It's a long story, but all the information is on the web.

That's right, my fellow New Englander! You tell us Yankees to get lost!

I'm sure the Seminoles, Tequesta and Apalachee, just to name a few, feel the same about southerners... er, um, I mean "real" Floridians.

We're in the Daytona area. If you drive up the road a spell you'll be in Savannah, Georgia, which is where you'll find a nice Southern atmosphere. Good luck in this state.
