OK so I'm not asking a lot, but what I am asking may be hard to find, but I'm not totally sure... Is there a place in south florida that is close enough to Dania but far enough from
the typical south Florida Hustle and bustle to feel like a typical southern place? So:

1. It can't be too too far from Dania/Dania Beach...Not sure of the difference...
2. It has to feel southern...After all Florida IS in the south!

I reall really hope y'all or at least someone can help and tell me what is my perfect match!! Or at least what's my best bet!!!
Thanx!

South Florida might be in the South but not the Real South, too many transplants from the Northeast and influx of people from all over the world.

Do not think you will find what your looking for, probably best to look at the panhandle, north Florida for that southern feel.

Well I've lived in the panhandle (Very southern) But I also did live in Sebring, which is in Southern Florida and I know for a fact that THAT's Southern too, so I was thinking there might be another place in Broward County Similar to that...I though of Davie, and SW ranches, but I was wondering if there was anything MORE southern? but I guess there isn't....But SW ranches is supposedly "rural" and so is Davie...So I don't know...It MAY resemble what I'm lookin' for but I guess I would have o go and see...Plus I think the transplants from all over the world is really in Dade...Not sure though

Even Davie is 27% Hispanic, however an unusually low percentage of them are foreign born (largely 1st generation, assimilated "Can't tell the difference"). Over 30% of Broward County is foreign born and the rest of the population is almost exclusively transplanted.

I left out the inland places, especially those around Lake O since they are very far from Dania.

The South Florida Metro Area includes Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties and is a melting pot of diversity.

Absolutely, sunrico

Davie town, Florida - Fact Sheet - American FactFinder

It's actually 25.8% though. About 24% of the population is foreign born however. So I gave some inaccuracies.

Please post the reference always so we don't mislead the members....

Read the fine print: Variants of these estimates are used as controls for the American Community Survey (ACS). The population levels by age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin for states and counties, the population totals for places, and the number of housing units for states and counties, which result from the ACS will not agree with the official estimates. This is because the weighting specifications employed by the ACS use various aggregations of the estimates for states and counties.

Thus, ACS estimates of population levels and housing unit estimates should not be used for the levels of geography specified above. Intercensal estimates should be used instead and can be found in the tables below.

It doesn't say anything about the demographics being untrustworthy, but I was posting my 27% link from the 2005 community survey, which I have links to all over the website. I wasn't sure about the 2006 survey, but regardless in my experience 25% sounds about right from being in that community, the schools are around that percentage which I think is a good measure. Thanks for catching my error though, since I found myself a little off.

Enrollment Counts (http://www.browardschools.com/schoolsplash1/enrollment.asp?school=2831 - broken link)

School covers all of west Davie.
