My husband is considering a job at the hospital in Fort Walton. We would be moving from NW Louisiana. Need good schools for elementary, middle and high school aged kids. Kids interested in chorus, drama, basketball and two are in Talented Art and Music programs. Looking for family friendly neighborhood. Should we look for homes in Okaloosa or Santa Rosa county, based on the schools? Desire home with 4 bedroom/2ba, pool, decent sized lot with at least one shade tree?! Thanks for any input. We have been to the area on vacation and many times to 30A (even before it blew up into what it is now), just never thought about moving, til now.
