What else do you want? Near a major city? Near the coast? On the coast? Near an interstate? Big town? Small town? As with any place, you will find a lot of variety. I happen to like the Port Charlotte area between Tampa and Fort Myers, it's laid back, lots of water, but it can be warmer and muggier in the summer than central or northern FLA. Give us a little more to go on and you'll probably get better feedback.

I see in your profile that you own a large dog. Not all communities are as large dog-friendly so would take that into consideration if that's important. Cities that have dog-friendly beaches with amenities are indicative of an overall dog-friendly population so you might check these cities out first...
