We are moving to Daytona Beach, Florida and are leasing an apartment without being there - a brother said where we are going is in the ghetto. Can someone enlighten me before me move

I think they're referring to Daytona Beach in general which is pretty much the case. Ormond Beach just to the north would offer some better options if you absolutely must move there.

It can depend on where you go. If you really want to live in Daytona itself, out by 95 or LPGA area is ok or nice even. Things are moving up for some aspects of Daytona, but they have some things to deal with in some areas. I also think Daytona went downhill in one area where they got those stupid red light cameras and so on. They can sit there flashing on a person just sitting for a right turn on red and pulling up. I hope those go away, but some other things improving.
