I was reading about the plan to split California into six individual states and it made me wonder if splitting Florida into two states, north and south, would be a good idea. Any thoughts?

Should be 3, Central FL is way different than the Northern and Southern parts of the states IMO.

No. States are supposed to have variations in them, why try to homogenize?

Any thoughts on what the divisions should be, or where they should be?

Hmm, where does it say states are supposed to have variations in them? Is that a law or something? And what is meant by "variations" anyway? For that matter, what is meant by "homogenize"? Lol, sounds like a bottle of milk.

Funny. I just seem to notice in these type of threads how the recommended splits usually look like gerrymandered congressional districts.

Seminole Co and northward would be North FL. Orange Co and south would be South FL. It'd be an interesting "state line" but I'd like to try to make it happen.

I haven't recommended a split. In fact I was asking for suggestions. I don't care for gerrymandering myself. I live in a gerrymandered district, IMO. BTW, no one's better at gerrymandering than the state of Florida, ever seen the ridiculous districts? What a disgusting joke.
