My wife and I spend 3 weeks in Florida in January. In the past, I've been negative toward spending winter months in Florida, but really enjoyed the getaway this year, so we are exploring options for future years. We stayed in 2 condos and one manufactured home (visiting a relative of my wife), and I enjoyed the layout/neighborhood of the manufacture home the most. We would like to know about any options for short term rentals of manufactured homes, especially in either the Daytona/Port Orange/New Smyrna or St. Pete/Clearwater areas. I've had trouble finding such info from straight Google searches. Are there community regulations or state laws that make such a thing difficult or impossible? Any links or resources would be welcome.

Www.mhvillage.com. Has sales and rentals. Often the parks have designated brokers that handle both. Just search by city/state.

Thanks! I've looked at mhvillage site, and all of what I've found so far are unfurnished rentals intended for "rent to buy" situations.

Contact the local sent for the park. They may have some that would fit your needs.

I live in a 55+ MH park in Florida. I seem to remember that in my park rentals need to be 30+ or 31+ days. Most rentals in my park (there are not a lot) tend to want 3 month or longer stays. There may be others who rent for shorter stays... at a higher price.

There's a fee to file for each person's background check, and switching utilities. I think it is more frustration than it is worth to the owner if it is a short stay. My park is half Canadian, and they can only stay 6 months (including traveling from the boarder to Florida)...
