My husband and I are moving to the Palm Coast/St. Augustine area from Atlanta. We found a cute home in Pine Lakes (updated and very well priced) but are concerned as it has been on the market for some time. Is Pine Lakes a good area? Thanks so much.

I'm not super familiar with the neighborhoods in Palm Coast, but I do have family in the W section of Palm Coast which is near Pine Lakes, and that area is quiet and nice. What letter section is it? The section can be found based on the street names.

W section. The street names all start with the same letter in different sections.

All the streets are named like the order of a dictionary. So all the streets start with W in this area. There's the B, C, R (stay away from, there's some crime in that area), Z, etc. (those are the only one's I can think of off the top of my head.

It took us years to sell our Palm Coast home due to too many homes on the market which means low property values. Do not buy upfront if you move there. Try it out. Pine Lakes is variable and can be very rough. Grand Haven or C on the water are the only safe bets. There are reasons why property is so cheap in Palm Coast.
