Never see any in my home. But seen millions in rented out apartments where scum bags live. Dirty peeps get them by the 1000's. Try to open the front door and have a few rain down on your head ted.

Keep your house clean and you'll never see one.

Never seen one. Based on you previous posts, it appears you have many fears about moving to Florida. I suggest you visit it first to see for yourself.

They are here but Ive seen 2 in 29 years. German roaches need humans to survive. They thrive on our messiness. As others have stated, keep a clean house and you wont have them. They are more prevalent in apartment complexes.

Haven't seen German roaches. You should plan on having a pest control service in Florida. Bugs and lizards live outside and without a service it is difficult to keep them all out. A service will usually keep out everything but flying bugs.

The huge bugs are roaches too. They are not "water bugs." There are more than 60 different types of cockroaches in the U.S., but most of the time people call the large ones palmetto bugs and the small ones German roaches.

If you keep all food refrigerated or well sealed, you shouldn't have a problem. However, there are never any guarantees you won't see bugs in a home in the South because of the heat & humidity. One major factor is pest control. Another is lifestyle. I've stayed in estate homes that had bugs and mobile homes that didn't. Don't leave dirty dishes with food on them in the dishwasher. Throw out your garbage regularly. Wipe your floors and counter tops daily.

You can choose to call a professional pest control company or use roach bait stations, which are very inexpensive. Placing a few around your home should take care of most roach problems. TERRO works wonders if you have an ant infestation.

Armadillos eat bugs. You have bugs in the yard, but you might not noticing them.
