I hate it as well mel. Can't even break below 35f. I miss my 1980's winters with lows of 19 to 24f year after year in Tampa. Rapid warm up this week.

Tampa area and north is far more developed now than it was in the 1980s and prior. More concrete makes it hotter.

Since i moved right on the gulf that is the main reason i never get below 32f anymore. Just go 2 miles east of me and the temps avg 4f cooler. Plus like ya said with all the ground covered over from building since the 70's has also made the low temps come up.

NWS is reporting that Marathon also broke the all time day low temperature yesterday......57F

...the previous record was 64F in 1955 for that date

The last 2 mornings it's been foggy here in Miami. It's raining now, not hard, just drizzle.
