yes, but in earned income only, not unearned. That is why this thread is faulty.

That xls spreadsheet doesn't say "per working person." It says "per capita" which means - per person (whether working or not).

I'd say - most "people" in Florida aren't earning $68k per year.

Of the bottom 16 for Apr-Feb, only Seattle looks strong, with Tucson looking healthy. Birmingham looks like it's holding on, while Kansas City, Richmond, Cleveland and Tulsa are starting to fall behind. St. Louis and Chicago are limping. Hampton Roads, Memphis, Washington, Minneapolis, Honolulu and Baltimore are still negative. The Northeast/BosWash look pretty bad in particular outside of Philly, and a good chunk of the Midwest isn't looking too strong either.

I once thought about moving down to FL 10-15 yrs ago, fortunately I chose not to. The income level and cost of home ownership wasn't worth my appetite. Those years my income at FL would be about 1/2 what I make in NE. Today, the income levels are catching up nationally but the the cost to live in FL has outpaced income rise.

Trust me when I saw we're glad you didn't move down.
Good.
