Well, might be going to the Hurlburt Field area in about 6 months (AF). Just wondering what are some nicer, newer and safe areas for a younger married couple (both 21 with an infant and 2 cats). Looking for a house, or a nice townhouse, 2-3bedroom, 2bath. up to 1100 a month

Unfortunatly i don't think I will have a chance to go visit the area before I go there, so I'm just looking for some good input! Is Destin, Navarre, and Fort Walton Beach good areas? And if so, is it possible to get what i'm looking for in these areas?

Thanks,
Nathan

Navarre might be your best choice... Check the base housing rental and homes for sale listings. Call or check the web-site for newcomers.
The area is great, low crime, affordable housing and lots of white sand beaches.

Also you can apply for base housing at Eglin. Destin is more expensive, Fort Walton is a choice, just depends in your preference.

Navarre! Most definitely. Thats where I'm looking. I get email updates almost every day from Coldwell Banker for the $160-$220 range.
