However, if I read correctly the results for the State house, a majority of the winners is republican.

If this is the case, can someone explain it?

This site has all the election results
I really don't have an explanation.
My county went for Obama, which truly amazes me (happily so), but state senators etc voted in were all Republican, and while representatives differed by district, most elected were Republican. Also, the anti-gay marriage amendment looks to have passed.

Thanks, yes, I have been through the site.

Looking at the national and state-wide results for Florida, including the referenda, I perceive disgust for the republican administration nationally, but still a strong desire for property tax reform in the state, and that perhaps voters perceive that the republicans are better able to deliver, or at least to keep rates where they are.

I am not experienced in state politics, so can anyone corroborate that perception?

Could be...I don't have a better explanation than that.

because if the incumbent Rep is good why vote them out?

Ofcourse you can look at S.Florida/Miami where no one is good and ask "why were they reelected" lol

but in other areas of Florida most people aren't party line Dems nor Reps as it should be. I cant stand the Miami useless Reps ,state attorney general is useless also but will be first in line when its time to vote for Rep gvnr Christ who I love.

The anti gay marriage passed in every state even hypocrite CA which preaches one thing votes another,

BOTH parties voted to ban gay marriage . I voted for it as it matters not to me what consenting adults do its their life not mine.
