This is an outrage!! The local drug problem is getting to be too much. Damn the meth labs!! Only in Central Florida something like that could happen!

Meth is a nationwide problem. The only reason why it is something that could "only" happen in Florida is because there are no sea turtles in the Mid-West and mountain country.

Gopher tortoises live in burrows in the dry sand hills of Florida, land that are very popular for developers to build on because it's high and dry.

What is worse is that developers are allowed to plow them under (which kills them) when clearing land for a new development. If you want to be outraged, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

And even if they (developers) have to pay fines for doing it, they obviously just consider it the cost of doing business.

This guy faces fines of over $36,000. Now I'm really sure he'll being paying that right away. He'll only do a month or two in jail and it will be done.

Can I go out and plow under a developer and just get away with a slap on the wrist? We really need to take over a county and then hunt the developers who want to build. Expose all their dirty deals and blackmail them. Or just have some good gator bait!

talk to the epa. they make the rules and regulations. developers are not allowed to plow them under in all circumstances. their are certain conditions to be met. most times they have to move them. from what i understand the epa is beginning to get tougher on the whole thing.

We need to crack this guy's head. This kind of stuff pisses me off. How can anyone steal endangered species? This is a sick story... I just wanted people to hear about it so they can be on the lookout for nutcases selling these precious sweet animals.

Geez, if he needs crack money that bad, go and steal something not endangered... like a gator!!
