my family is interested in moving to florida.i dont know much at all about the state but i really would love to live near a nice clean beach.i would love a home on a few acres.i dont really like the idea of living a a subdivision where the homes are so close u can here ur neighbor flush the toilet.i dont want to live in the middle of it all,i like small town living.

ofcourse, great weather, great schools and low crime is a must.i hear that it is very expensive to live in florida, will i be able to fine a home for less than $130,000 in a nice quiet area, less than an hr away from a clean beach?

does anyone know of such a place?if so i would love to hear ur suggestions.

Check out Keystone Heights.

An hour from the beach at St Augustine.

Lots or rural homes and plenty of places to ride ATVs and dirt bikes.

Plenty of homes in your price range.

Brooksville! Lots of dirt bike racing in Croom. Ricky Carmichael started there.

Brooksville is good for bike racing but the real estate is a little pricey to live. Keystone would be great and I know Starke which is next to keystone has some bike racing.

Do you have an idea of wich area of Florida you want its all different? When you pick a town or area check out realtor.com they have alot of listings. Theres always something for almost everyone if you do your reasearch. Once you have an area let us know and we can give you more info. Good luck I hope you find exactly what your looking for!!

Hey ILLGETULATER,
Im looking at moving to Florida also. Compared to CT it is such a big place with so many options! Im torn between the open counrty atmosphere Im used to and a community with other kids around and community activities. I'll be watching your replys to see what people have to say. Good Luck

I would say go to St Augustine, and head inland about 30 minutes or so. Somewhere in that area.
