Hey Bones,
I know. That's why we lowered it to a more realistic price. I checked on the MLS and we put rings around the other homes. Even the ones up to $350,000.
We aren't giving our counter offer till tommorrow morning. They can wait.
We want to sell, but we aren't desparate in the least!

I've got mine just below the square footage $$$ for the area, and sitting tight. 4 weeks going to TN anyways
I believe that the right person will come along at some point in time regarless of the price (within reason) that has to have it for it's appearence and homey feeling.

Don't feel you are at the mercy of your agent. Try to learn something about the prospective buyers. They may be people who are looking at several properties and yours is a take it or leave it deal. Or they may really be interested in your property and are making the lower offer just because that is the way the game is played and you can counter offer on the higher end and feel it won't scare them away. Either way, take a mentally inventory of your reasons of why you are selling and what your future plans are and don't let a few thousand dollars stand in the way of getting your new future under way.
Good Luck, keep us up to date.

You are all great guys...
Kim, you know that we will have those ribs eventually!!! MMMMM, can't wait.

We did meet that price half way. Now the ball is in their court.
The home that they put another offer on is an AS IS home...
A realtor scooped it up after hurricane charley and fixed whatever needed fixin' and is still selling it AS IS. Sounds fishy to me.
It still doesn't have all the amenities that ours does. The buyer woman was so excited about the security system we have because her husband goes out of town alot. The other house has none. It doesn't have a culdesack lot like ours, or even storm shutters. Its $284,somethin...
All I can say to them is GOOD LUCK
