I will be appling to attend the Palmer College of Chiropractic for the new year. If I get in I need to know everything about the area before I get there. I am a black mid 20s single mother of 1 from Virginia. Currently I am a massage therapist and esthetician.

Please help with information on days spas and chiropractor / dermatology offices in the area close to Palmer and safe affordable living between the two. As well as elementry school and day care provider information. Thanks in advance.

There are several day spas and chiropractic clinics here in the Port Orange area. Port Orange also tends to be a pretty safe location and the costs to rent/purchase a home are fairly reasonable. Daytona may be a little less expensive, but it may be harder to find the nice and safer locations. They do exist though! There are many good day cares in the area (our DD went to one locally that we loved) and the school your daughter would attend depends upon where you live. I teach at a local Port Orange school and love it there, as do many of our parents. Most of the Port Orange schools have a typcial middle class population. Many of the Daytona area schools tend to have a more working class population, but I have found the teachers and schools to be good overall. If your daughter is in elementary school most of those, if not all, provide after school care as well for a very reasonable rate. Let me know or feel free to PM me if you want more detailed information. Welcome to our area (when you arrive)!

Nancy

That's a good question. I thought your post said daughter, but when I went back and re-read it, it didn't. No idea !
