Grits are like farina or cream of wheat, aren't they? I have also heard they're like polenta.

Grits and polenta are both corn

I must confess that I do not like Chinese food. I go along for the ride if that's what others want, but I would never eat it otherwise.

Coffee with sugar. I love coffee, but if it's got so much as a speck of sugar (or any sweetener, for that matter) in it, even flavored creamer, I can't even choke it down. I love the flavor of coffee, but only sans sweetness. I'll drink it lightened (prefer real cream or half and half, but milk or nondairy will do in a pinch), but really, I'm fine with it black and robust. Just NO SUGAR, please.

I can't stand sweetened tea, either, hot or cold. I don't like overly sweet drinks in general.

Hey Nan....I was just thinking - how about if you get some boneless chicken breasts with the skin on.
Then, take a very narrow knife and, starting at one end of the chicken breast, push the knife through until it's perhaps an inch or a bit more from the other end.
Now, take one of the clean and dry chicken leg bones (that you saved before doing this ), and shove it up into the knife slit until it nudges up against the end of the slit.
Do this with all the skin-on breasts.
Now cook 'em up and slather some hot sauce all over them and serve.
Viola! Big @ss chicken wings to make you smile - and you can maybe impress a friend! Or you can just not tell anybody and eat them all yourself.
Let me know how they come out! .....
