Me too. I could eat it like ice cream.

Important rule: Never apply heat to anything after you've put in the sour cream. Add it the last thing before serving.

I agree! Heat will spoil the texture and taste.
I love sour cream too. I use it to very many dishes.
This is one of the most important items in my fridge.

I like it in homemade wraps, baked potatoes...sometimes on steak tacos (soft shell)...also with fresh slow cooked pot roast, the kind that just pulls apart easily.

Talking If I could I would...

I LOVE sour cream, too. Only allowed so much, but if I could eat as much as I wanted...YUM !!!

Has anyone had Krogers brand soour cream with chives. It is fantastic.
It almost reminds u of french onion dip. In fact... when we had a party, everyone was eating it with their chips. They asked me where I bought it.
The chives are already in the sour cream. Very, very good.

Breakstone sour cream would have to be rated #2 and it's a great sour cream. Thick & rich.

That's how much we love sour cream.
Glad to see were not the only sour cream lovers out there.

Diabetics can have cottage cheese. Lowfat cottage cheese is great.
Sour cream has too much fat in it for Diabetics. Lowfat sour cream is awful. for dipping. No taste.
Maybe UR friend just doesn't like CC.

There's a recipe on food network website for sour cream mashed potatoes - Barefoot Contessa, I think. A tablespoon of it in homemade guacamole is rockin' too.
