I forgot to bring my lunch to work today and the only food in sight (besides stale vending machine "food") is a serving of homemade chicken alfredo and veggies I made on Sunday night. It has been refrigerated the entire time, except transporting from home to work--about 20 minutes.

Do you think it's safe to eat? I generally don't eat leftovers after 3-4 days, but I'm starving!

I personally don't eat anything past the 3 day mark. I'd be concerned about the cheese in the alfredo.

No.... not a good idea. I would be wary of the chicken after 5 days.

Eat half of it, that way you won't die all the way.

As long as it was refigerated I would think it would be just fine. Take a whiff of it though before and after you reheat and if in doubt throw it out.

My co-workers are shocked by how long I keep, then eat leftovers. I think my tolerance has a lot to do with my strong digestive system and a well functioning refrigerator.

I would eat that, if I liked that.

I generally will keep most leftovers a week before throwing them out. But it depends on what those leftovers are.

See...that's what I'm thinking. I also have a strong digestive system and the refrigerator at work it just a few degrees short of a freezer.

I would pack it for my husband after that long. A week is about it for leftovers for the most part, so that should be okay. But if you're really leery, maybe you could order a pizza or something!
