August West Pinot Noir - Russian River Valley, 2010. Rather young, but I really needed a good pinot tonight. Solid pinot typical of the Russian River...bright fruit yet also a firm acidic backbone. Still some pepper on the aftertaste, which would mellow with some more time in the bottle.
Just got a bottle of Suacci Carciere 2009 Pinot as well...that one's going to sit for a while along with my Lynmar Estate bottles.
