Chicken and turkey giblets. When I was a kid, my mom used to make gizzard stew. It was delicious; one of my favorites! I still cook and eat the giblets when I buy a whole chicken, as a treat. I'd love to make gizzard stew still, but I think there's a lot of cholesterol and saturated fat in gizzards, so I don't indulge. Just a tidbit now and then. Same with chix livers.

I love chicken livers. Down the road from me there's a great place and they serve fried chicken livers with big crinkle cut fries. It's always perfect, and they give you one heck of a large portion! Now I'm craving that for din-din!

I'm not eating anything no one else eats. In fact there are many things that others eat that I'll never touch!!

^^^^^ yep! I knew it!!

There is one thing to say - I tried it, and I don't like it. But many people just say NO because of the look or the name of the dish. They do not try it first, but say " I don't like it"!

I remember a little incident at my work: one day one of our co-workers who is known as a great cook, brought in lunch from home. Whatever it was: the smell was great and the look even better.
She shared it with us, but didn't want to say what that is. It was a delicate piece of meat, a thick slice covered with medium spicy gravy, mashed potatoes and toss salad. We all compliment her for it because it was delicious. After we finished she said that this was a braised beef tongue. One of our coworkers turned red, started to choke and barely made it to the bathroom. We all wondered and could not understand - because just moment before she was asking for the recipe and said how much she liked it...

when I was younger i used to love when my grandfather made me tripe- I loved it and requested it when we went to visit, he used to make it spicy in a gravy - I used to dunk the italian bread in it- THEN I found out what it was and I dont eat it anymore its been over 30 somewhat years now, I went to try it and it disgusted me. Same thing with liver - as a kid I loved it with bacon and onions- now no- One strange thing that I did develope a strange taste for is Every Once in awhile I get a Wendy's chocalate frosty and I order their french fries and dip the fries in the shake its like I crave it sometimes

lemon peels. kiwi peels. banana peels. just kidding on that last one.

milk and pepsi ala laverne and shirley (always put the milk in last btw)

obviously others eat these things as well, but they are some of my gastro choices that raise a few eyebrows now and again
