the other thing she made was rugelach. when i was in college, i could always give her a call and have her send me over a big tin full of rugelach. it was always way too much and i shared it with my friends and roommates.
Well, if we don't say goodbye we may simply say Ta, as in TTFN. But anyway, that's not why I'm posting. I just wanted to add that I just love some of the foods that Jewish people are reputed to eat. ..........that sounds SO wrong to say! LMAO! But I do love chopped liver....lox and bagels....'ya ever have Tabatchnik soups? So good! I go out of my way to visit the section in the market with the stuff they stock with Jewish folks in mind! Jewish rye! Matzo crackers! Yum! There's plenty more....but there have been times that I wish I were Jewish. I never had a problem with Jewish people at all. I embrace the Jewish folks. So, anyway.....does that mean they cannot eat beef stroganoff? It has dairy in it.....
lox and bagels, yum. I'm not Jewish and I totally dig that. Even better, in my opinion, is a lox sandwich on a bagel- I think I had lox, cream cheese, turkey, and cheddar sliced on a bagel.
Oh, give me lox, bagels, w/ capers, and a little tomato. #! breakfast
I worked in a very Jewish neighbor hood in LA: 3rd and Fairfax and loved to go to Canters Restaurant even at 3 in the morning for whatever.
Do miss that.
