All sorts of Europeans (East and West) and Med cultures like Greeks and Turkish have stuffed cabbage dishes.

the other thing she made was rugelach. when i was in college, i could always give her a call and have her send me over a big tin full of rugelach. it was always way too much and i shared it with my friends and roommates.

Ya, I'd say more ethnic.

Mmmm rugelach - and hammentachen. I love the nut/cinnamon rugelach, and apricot, the best.

My family was Reform Jewish. We could eat anything. We even ate bacon (one of my favorite foods to this day...in moderation).

But anyway, that's not why I'm posting. I just wanted to add that I just love some of the foods that Jewish people are reputed to eat.
..........that sounds SO wrong to say! LMAO! But I do love chopped liver....lox and bagels....'ya ever have Tabatchnik soups?
So good! I go out of my way to visit the section in the market with the stuff they stock with Jewish folks in mind! Jewish rye!
Matzo crackers! Yum! There's plenty more....but there have been times that I wish I were Jewish. I never had a problem with Jewish people at all. I embrace the Jewish folks.
So, anyway.....does that mean they cannot eat beef stroganoff?
It has dairy in it.....
lox and bagels, yum. I'm not Jewish and I totally dig that. Even better, in my opinion, is a lox sandwich on a bagel- I think I had lox, cream cheese, turkey, and cheddar sliced on a bagel.

Then there's Sunday dinner in many kosher Jewish homes - takeout Chinese on paper plates.
