There are two sandwiches I miss dearly and they were both made on the same street, different places though, in the Allston section of Boston. The first was in the back of a liquor store, it was a three cheese sandwich. You picked three different cheeses, they had EVERY kind, Russian dressing with whatever vegetables you wanted on a roll. The second and this is my all time favourite sandwich, has pesto, artichoke hearts, spinach, tomatoes and sprouts on a crusty roll. So good!
A chef in the paper said his favorite sandwich was thinly sliced radishes with lots of mayo. It sounds so awful, that I can't wait to try it, just to make sure. I have some radishes growing in the garden, so eventually I'll try it.
I love tomato, lettuce and Miracle Whip sandwiches, Cream cheese and jelly sandwiches, and Marshmallow Fluff and peanut butter sandwiches. Grilled cheese made with white sharp cheddar.

A thousand years ago, when Martha Stewart had a show on TV (maybe she still does? I have no idea), she said that she loved this sandwich: challah, butter, sliced onion. I don't remember if it was white onion or red. I think it was red. Anyway, I tried it and, bless Martha, I was addicted to that sandwich for months, if you can even call it a sandwich.
Now that I think about it, maybe the radish sandwich was with lots of butter, not lots of mayo. Guess I'll need to try it both ways.
