Default Getting Creative With Canned Chili!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE organic canned chili! It makes a great last minute evening meal for me. I'm looking to enhance its flavor and nutrition by adding just a few ingredients to it.

Here is what I've come up with that sounds good to me. I need it to be fast and easy, but delicious!

- Canned Chili
- Canned Diced Roma Tomatoes
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Tortilla Chips

Anything else that might be good?

I know it's really basic, but I believe it will be delicious and fast. I would just warm the chili over the stove and add the tomatoes. I think I would like to mix the cheese in it while it warms. I want a rich and cheesy flavor throughout. Also, I would like a bag of healthy organic tortilla chips for dipping.

To me, this sounds good. Any suggestions you would like to offer for a fast, easy and delicious meal?

I would like to share my personal meal plan with you all too. I eat the same thing everyday and my body has become immune to the food and allows for easy digestion and weight loss. I never get tired of it. I like the thought that I am maintaining good mental and physical health. Oh, and the meals are super fast and easy to make! .....

Egads, why make the effort?

It takes all of about 15 minutes or preparation and an hour of cooking to make a great pot of chili.

Throw it on a baked potato? That's usually how I wind up eating ground beef chili

What does it mean for your body to become immune to food?

We don't eat much out of cans ... too much salt. I'd rather make my own chili. You could make a big batch for less money and freeze it in small portions.

If you must eat canned chili, serving it over a plain baked potato sounds good, or with a corn muffin.

no canned chili here. Do they sell "Bear Creek" soup mixes in your market? Their "Darn good" chili mix is outstanding, takes 1/2 hour to make and it's got no junk in it.

We use turkey meat as an addition to it, and a can of dark kidney beans, and a can of chopped san marzano tomatoes.

serve it over a scoop of rice, with some shreeded monterey jack cheese on top, and makes for a nice meal especially in winter.

Ditch the canned stuff, it's easy enough to make yourself.

Diced Jalapenos in water is a good product. Fresh are usually to hot to put a real quantity in, pickled ruin the chili. Also diced green chilis for the faint of heart.

Ultimate fast and delicious canned chili recipe:

Brown 1/2 pound ground beef/venison/bison or whatever lean, organic/wild meat you have available.

Put it in the bottom of a pyrex baking dish.

Cover it with organic canned chili

Cover the chili with tater tots.

Put in a 375 degree oven for 25-35 minutes, depending on how you like your tots.

Remove.

Top with cheese.

Allow to cool if you're able.

I'll admit I like a can of Dennison's every now and again. The Stagg regular is also not bad.
