Quick question about friolator (spaghetti, French, glass, frying)

Can I leave the oil in there(canola) or do i put it back in the bottle?
My first time ever using a deep frier, made french fries last night yay.
Anyways i had to pour so much oil in it i practically used it all in one night.
Im pretty sure I can save it but how do i do that exactly>?
For old frying oil when cooled, I pour them into old cleaned spaghetti sauce glass jars to store.
