Have you seen recent prices for cow's tongue? I spotted one the other day for $25! When I was growing up the tongues were very very cheap.

Wow! Was that in a chain grocery store?

The only time I had it, we picked one up from a mexican market.

I spotted beef tongue at my local Shop Rite. However; their weekly flier and online web pages do not talk about cost. Here is one link that I did find that lumps their tongue into “variety meatsâ€: ShopRite Supermarkets

By the way; has anybody noticed that some grocery store delis and meat shops have moved away from stocking all of the “weird†meats? It has been a long time since I have spotted head cheese, souse and even olive loaf.

My weirdest food? Rice with a squid-ink sauce, pitch black & tasted, well, like rice with a squid-ink sauce.

Durian. I like so much but lots of people can accept it because they don't like the odor.
