I've told people that I like my drink this way, and they think I'm psycho. I just love the refreshing taste of a tart and ice cold manufactured fruit flavored beverage.

No messy sugar granules and no sticky Kool-Aid lips.

It's also much healthier, when you consider the tons of sugar and calories you typically consume with Kool-Aid made the real way.

No thanks, I make kool aid with half the sugar and the kids complain about that.

I use Stevia in my kool aid. All the taste and vitamin C without the calories. (I'm diabetic.)
Kool aid is much better for me than diet soda and bottled fizzy fruit water. I'm currently hooked on peach mango.

I always made kool aid for the kids with 3/4 c sugar - it is still sweet, but does have a slight tart taste.
My adult son loves less sugar now because he loves really sour stuff. (I have secretly been replacing some of his sugar with Stevia on occasion and he hasn't even noticed.)

Like anything else without sugar.. Yuk. Why bother? Never mind I realize many consume large quantities of tasteless water daily. I guess a bit of flavor, even though not really tasty, is better than plain Jane. Like tea without sugar Yucko!

This reminds me of my Mother in law. When my husband was a kid she would make what he called "colored water" LOL. She would buy the no frills brand of Kool-Aid and put very little sugar if any. My husband said it was gross. But at his friends house they would put so much sugar in the drink was crunchy LOL. I have not had Kool-aid in 25 years.

I would actually describe the taste as being similar to a glass of water with lemon juice.

I haven't have koolaid in years, but I used to never but sugar in mine. I remember my mom making a batch for me when I was a kid, and I always had this most disgusted look on my face when I would watch her put in damn near half a bag of sugar. It's not needed.
