Ewww, ewww, ewwww, definately not addicting, unless you are easily addicted to icky food!

You can easily make the same basic stuff, that tastes 100% better, with fresh ingredients...HH addicting? Really?

Macaroni and cheese, ground turkey, and chili powder? Wow!!! I will definitely try that one. I LOVE mac and cheese....

I finished the Hamburger Helper. I ate it all day yesterday. Woke up this morning and had it for breakfast and then again for lunch. It's gone now, and can't taunt me anymore...

Oh my gosh, you had it for breakfast? That's even worse than having it for dinner...

My mom used to fix it for us when we were little - money was tight. I know plenty of low income families who eat it and make it out of a meal. Of course it isn't good for you (all those processed ingredients, as the other poster pointed out), but it's cheap (well used to be anyway). OP - I don't know where you live at .35cents a box - when I'm in the grocery store down that aisle, it's more like $3.00 a box and on sale it's 2 for $5 Anyway, funny but I see more and more middle class families filling up their baskets with it.

Point - I used to love it as a kid. I did purchase it last week however because my daughter kept asking about it since I had previously told her stories of HH. She loved it, but I told her that we'll indulge every 6 months or so

I got mine for $2 a box. I would make more but I need to stay away from all that starch. I ate the whole thing and it made me depressed. So tonight I had berries and plain yogurt for dinner and then an avocado later and then raw carrots for a snack. I would rather be eating HH but it made me sleep all day and not leave the house.

I don't remember what it was because it was my first HH ever. It was extra cheesy though. But I'm not kidding when I say it really made me depressed afterwards. I ate if for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then breakfast and lunch the next day. I would love to buy another box, but I can't handle it.

More than likely it was the cheesburger macaroni - they only make like 4 varietys of it. Yeah i used to love it to, but not enough for breakfast That is funny, I must call my Mom tomorrow and tell her about you and the infamous HH, she will die laughing.

That's cute. She would probably like "Shake & Bake" if you told her that was a fav of the (old) time, too. I think they make this, still...I saw it a few years ago and laughed out loud at how bad it was! Still, when you are a kid, it's kind of fun. I mean, kool-aid is pretty gross...but making it is fun and the colors are pretty!

You sound like a nice Mommy. By the way, try the Kraft mac & cheese with lean ground turkey and 1 T chile powder. If you split it 4 ways and serve it with broccoli (goes well with the cheese gooey-ness) you are actually making a pretty healthy meal. Some chopped tomato on top of the mac makes it more appealing and adds more nutrition.
