That silkworm sushi is gag-a-licious looking. In fact, if you have a queasy stomach, I recommend not clicking that link. It's like your brain is telling you to expect the Japanese food you THINK you know, and HA!: it's a plate full of bugs.


Bugs are Good Eats in some parts of Japan. I've eaten the candied locusts before. They're not bad, actually. Tasted like candy. Helps you to get over the idea that you are eating bugs.

For most Americans eating an insect is revolting yet they'll munch down a pound of pond roaches (crayfish) without a second thought.
