It's been decades since I ate at Denny's, but they used to make a really good sour dough grilled cheese sandwich with a slice of roast beef in it. They probably still do. Their burgers are better than the drive through. They aren't like the burgers at the steak house, but they don't cost as much, either.

I just don't have any reason to eat there. When traveling, at least you know what you will be getting, but when I travel, I like to risk the small family owned places and usually get some pretty good food.

Here's a thought: maybe if places and people at home actually cleaned their coffee makers internally every once in a while they'd get better tasting coffee. I always leave the lid open so the water dries out of the machine after use to prevent mildew. Also, every once in a while just run through a solution of vinegar several times followed by water to clean it.

I wonder if Denny's new coffee is being served at their restaurants in New England? Haven't been there in years. I always thought they were a bit pricey for what you get. I stick to the non-chain places as I like the locals to get my business.
