- Golden Corral - I see it advertised on TV but the closest one to me is in El Centro, which is about 4 hours away.
- Carraba's
- Cici's Pizza
- Cracker Barrel
- Runza - I fell in love with runza when I visited my friends in Omaha. The closest one to me is in Colorado.
On the other hand, I live in the land of the In-N-Out burgers. No complaints there!
You're not missing much by not having a Sonic. I went there once and thought the burgers and food were on the level of a Dairy Queen. Okay, but not really more than that. And without fries, forget it. We have a 5 Guys and the burgers are as good with some of the better fries around.
The Olive Garden. Overrated. Its expensive and the portions are not all that much. The food isn't even above average. I like a good salad with the meal and theirs is pretty minimal. The atmosphere is nice, though.
TGI Fridays is okay, although I prefer Applebees. Red Robins is also pretty nice. I like a good burger and not a fast food kind and prefer it with a beer.
Smokey Bones is across town but they have a good selection and the food is good. We also finally got a Chick Fil A which I eat at about once every 2 weeks,I love their hot and spicy Chicken and waffle fries.
We have a Long Horn but its across topwn and I don't think its open for lunch.
I wish we had a Boston Market here. I know it's just fast food, but sometimes, when you want something fast, but not a burger or a taco, it can really hit the spot. We used to live near one in Texas and it was a nice change of pace. We hadn't been to one in years until recently when we were back in Texas while my FIL was ill. After long days at the hospital, we would stop by one near my SIL's house and pick up dinner. It was so nice to have some real vegetables and something not on a bun.
I love biscuits. And those Tudor pancakes looked good.
I really miss the Boston market we used to have. It closed and became a bank. Its a joke that we have nothing but banks and gas station mini marts where we live. 17 different banks in a 2 mile radius, but 2 have since closed. But only about 10 gas stations.
The chicken was good but I liked the sides you got with it. I liked the squash and the creamed spinach.
A Chinese Restaurant that use to be in San diego "HOMS" Oh YUM !!!!
