That's weird, I buy the 30 calorie stuff and never had to develop a taste for it. It's not milk, but there's nothing objectionable about the flavor to me. Unless I try to put it in coffee, then some kind of musty flavor completely covers the coffee flavor. I even bought some almond creamer once and it was disgusting.
Same thing for breakfast today -- Fiber One original and almond milk. And coffee. I should have some protein too but I have a hard time finding breakfast protein. Hate cooking breakfast meats. Hate to dirty a pan to scramble one egg. I have grilled chicken in the fridge but that just doesn't sound good before my 2nd pot of coffee. What else is there?
Most people I know use almond milk as a substitute for cow's milk due to various health issues. I don't like the taste of regular soy or regular almond milk. But the dark chocolate almond milk has a rich taste like regular chocolate milk (which I love) but there is a slightly salty taste mixed with the sweet that I had simply got used to.
Meanwhile again, I am having a bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon & nonfat milk and a cup of dark chocolate almond milk.
Just a cup of Chamomile tea and a small bowl of porridge soup
