I find it odd that people often have this perception that people who live to eat are somehow unhealthy or overweight. Quite the contrary...most of us foodies are so familiar with food and very high standards for the taste, texture, and aroma that it hardly becomes the scene of shoveling cheetos into our mouths. It is the passion for food and the sensations on the palate that drive us (or at least me), not so much filling up.

It's not that I don't enjoy food, I do. But I don't have the time to spend cooking nor the money on going out to eat, so most of the time my meals are simple. I rarely sit and enjoy a meal. I wait till I'm hungry, and then I'll cut up an apple and some cheese or eat a banana, whatever it takes to satisfy the hunger. I have to watch my weight, so I generally avoid the stuff I love the most, which is French bread and cheese and stuffing and pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream, etc....
