I'm at the beginning of my later 30's, weigh about 175, and exercise regularly. Is eating that many eggs in one sitting bad for you? If so..why? The great egg debate! It lives on!

Eat what you want, just account for it in your calorie intake for the day.
Some will tell you they are bad for you then tomorrow a new study will come out and tell you to eat 10 eggs at a time because it will cure some currently unknown disease that the professionals will find tomorrow.

Woo hoo the poll is leaning towards what I voted... [joke]

Anyway I agree with what the other person said. Basically, just don't OVER indulge. Don't eat a carton of eggs... but like... you do you.

No.

No such thing as a bad food, it's your overall diet that counts. Just don't eat five eggs every day and you'll be fine!

Hasn't the eggs = high cholesterol thing been debunked? On average I go through a carton of eggs a week and as of last October when I had a very thorough physical, my cholesterol levels are very good.

Cholesterol in food, in this case eggs, has no bearing on your overall blood cholesterol.

Dain Wallis: Amazing Eggs: Busting the Cholesterol Myth

They are ethical because they are from a single cell, and they are a super cheap source of protein.

This guy ate 20-30 eggs per day, and he was a healthy old man.

Diamond Jim Brady would supposedly eat 2 dozen eggs, a pound of bacon, a loaf of bread as toast and a gallon of orange juice for breakfast. I think you're ok with 5.

Actually, I'll eat 4 or 5 boiled eggs at one sitting if they're sitting around (usually Easter).

He could eat way more and be fine.

Yes, eggs have been debunked for years now. They are healthy.

See my above comment.

I eat what I want. I might have six eggs at one meal, then not want any for a couple weeks or more.

Your body can tell what it needs. Just try to make sure the food is as natural as possible. No artificial ingredients or hydrogenated fats.

I avoid high fructose corn syrup because it just doesn't taste right and I don't like a lot of sweet food now anyway.

Aha, we posted at almost the same time so I didn't see your post.

Good, I thought so! Because eggs are versatile and yummy.
