Turkey noodle soup over mashed potatoes. The noodles are a bit different since I'd not noticed we were out of flour when I'd started. But we had some white wheat and red wheat berries along with some pearl barley, so those were ground into flour and the noodles turned out pretty tasty. A bit more work than I'd expected, though, when the idea of noodles was first brought up. Starting with flour is a lot easier for noodle making. Had I known about the lack of it, then turkey stew would have probably been chosen instead. But, there's soup now, so we will eat soup for a couple of days, no doubt.

I am trying a frozen Orange Chicken with Fried Rice from Sam's Club. I am cautiously optimistic. You bake the chicken nugget thingies, you stir-fry the fried rice, and you pour the sauce over the chicken. At under $11., if its good, it beats the cost of the local Chinese place.

We ate braised turkey thighs, baked sweet potatoes, and brussels sprouts with balsamic and bacon. Perfect for a very cold night here...comfort food!
