What is your ideal Birthday cake ( or pie, etc. )

I had a Reese's ice cream cake this year .
Last year I had a white cake with lots of frosting flowers and pieces of
chocolate and peanut butter cups on top.
Both were great!

Confetti angel food cake with strawberry icing. This is what my Gramma made me when I outgrew the kiddie decorated cakes, and since I left home I've made it for myself every year!

Chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting. Even though buttercream frosting is better to decorate with, I find it too sweet. I also love carrot cake a lemon cake with lemon frosting.

Too bad ya have to make your own birthday cake!
I told a relative I was making my own cake one year, she
thought that was pathetic, and made it for me!
That was okay by me!

Ooh, cake; my favorite! Silver cake with pinapple filling and buttercream icing or chocolate doberge from Gambino's Bakery. I'll take a homemade cake over anything you'd get from those grocery store "bakeries."
