I had some spaghetti and meatballs that were in the freezer for a real long time. A few months probably. When I heated them up and ate them the taste was real flat. Not good at all. Was it because it was frozen for so long?

Yes, they will lose flavor, and then eventually will develop a foul taste as it becomes dehydrated even if well packaged (freezer burn). I would say that for
spaghetti and meatballs the maximum freezer time for good taste is about 4 months.
