I prefer no ice in my drinks. I do have some sensitivity, but also on the bandwagon of I'd like more of the drink I paid for, and not the ice. IIRC, the US is the only place that puts ice in drinks. As such, soda manufacturers make theirs sweeter to account for the ice "averaging the sweetness out". If I need to cut back on sugar, I'll do that without ice. In some places with customer accessible drink dispensers, I'll just go 1/4 to 1/3 sweet tea, and the rest is unsweetened thank-you-very-much.
