Been a while since I had done a thread, and never in the Food and Beverage section. It was inspired by my realizing the past few days that I no longer enjoy the taste of Monster Energy drinks. I can't explain it, and it seems out of the blue. Up till about a month ago I would have been able to drink two a day, more than that is not recommended and it has been linked to some deaths.

The Monster flavor I liked is the sweeter, green colored one. The blue is fine too, but other flavors suck! Not a huge fan of energy drinks besides that. I always considered the taste of Monsters to be really good, but it seems the love affair is dying out.

That is a good thing in my book.

So fellow City-Data members, ever had a case of falling out of favor with a particular food or drink?

I used to have an absolute obsession with Crystal Geyser Raspberry Juice Squeeze. I still like it, but now i can have it in the house without consuming it.

Ketchup. I still have a little, once in awhile, but I don't really like it much anymore, and it gives me heartburn.

Eggs - I'll still eat an occasional omelet but am far more interested in the fillings of the omelet rather than the eggs.

I tried twinkees and they tasted like chemicals. Gave the box to my mother and nephew. I'd rather have fresh higher quality dessert items and not cheap, bargain basement stuff.

Sounds like your body has finally said, "Enough with the Monster drinks already. Not healthy."

Over the years my body has told me when it's had enough of:

Oreo cookies
Nutrigrain bars
Pop Tarts
Traditional breakfast foods (sausage, pancakes, waffles, bacon)
Donuts
Ice cream
Hamburgers
Hot dogs
And dozens of other things.

Right now I nomming on a fruit & greens smoothie. My body says "yes" to whole foods these days and "no" to processed foods. Probably a good thing, but I do miss being able to eat whatever the heck I wanted.

For some reason now the sight and smell of scrambled eggs makes me nauseous and I used to love them, I don't mind them boiled or as an ingredient but I can no longer tolerate them scrambled.

Broccoli... Used to love it cooked...now it just doesn't taste good to me like it did...

Stir Fry too.....mine is awful.... Never order it at a restaurant.. Tastes soggy and the sauce is not good...

Except for York Peppermints or fresh mint...the taste of mint anything..

Margaritas.....yes...Margaritas...loved them...just too sweet and filling...
