I love making sushi at home. From a couple of nights ago salmon and conch.

Yum! That looks great!

I haven't made sushi myself, but my son has a few times. I've been craving some for the past week.....maybe I'll give it a try this weekend.

Looks really good. But I like my sushi coated in corn meal and deep fried.

We make kimbap (Korean sushi) mostly but it's really easy with the bamboo mat.

My husband does rolls. He's been stationed in Asia a lot, and got pretty good at it. We use the bamboo mats, etc.

Most of ours are vegetarian, though, because sushi/sashimi-grade raw fish can be kind of...suspect...where we are. Also, I'm pregnant right now, so raw is off the table. And I don't like krab sticks.

Yep. I have a favorite online source for all things sushi - even live sea urchins and spot prawns.

Wow you've got skills! Did you take a sushi-making class, or do you just have natural patience and dexterity?

For use in sushi/sashimi, raw fish should always be frozen first to kill the parasites. The sea urchins and spot prawns come chilled.

Chilled sea urchins. You are a very very brave man, Dirt Grinder!

So you will not share your source? Will you DM it to me?
