Oh, another one I hate: watermelon. Can't even stand the smell of that stuff. Tried it once at a friend's house when I was a little kid, never touched it again. Icky stuff!!!
Send it to me. I eat it almost every day in the summer. I eat an entire watermelon every two or three days.

Luckily for you, you apparently don't have any allergies to melons.
For years, I relished eating honeydew and prosciutto during the summer, but I always had a scratchy throat & a runny nose afterwards. Periodically, I would eat watermelon during the summer, and I would always have the same symptoms as when I ate honeydew and prosciutto. On every occasion when I ate cantaloupe, the same symptoms would occur.
Finally, during a discussion with my MD regarding my seasonal allergies, I mentioned the symptoms described above. Her response was to inform me that, because those melons come from the same "family" as ragweed, they are likely to produce allergic symptoms in folks--like me--who are allergic to ragweed and other types of pollen that we inhale.
So, like their taste or not, I just can't abide with the physical effects of eating those melons!

Oh yeah, avocado is not so good alone. It needs lime juice and salt mixed in, I like a little mayonnaise too. Or guacamole ... someone else probably has a good recipe for that.
