Yes, that's what Publix wanted for a loaf of Udi's gluten free bread. $9.99 for the "larger" size loaf in the freezer section, which is still a much smaller loaf than a normal size loaf of bread.

From now on we are boycotting Publix and shopping at some other grocery store. Besides, how hard could it be to make your own gluten free baked goods? We have a $3 box of gluten free pizza dough that we bought at Walmart that will make two pizzas. Just add your own veggies.

I like the products in Publix, but many of their stuff is a total rip. Easily as bad as Whole Foods. I don't NEED bread. Using a corn tortilla for a sandwich wrap works fine.

Obviously you haven't tried baking gluten free goodies.
I will agree with you gluten free grocery items are way expensive. Here in Wisconsin I pay $6-7. per loaf for a very small loaf. (They're small because they don't rise. Bread needs gluten to rise.)
A REALLY good pizza crust mix is made by "Namaste". Fabulous. I don't know what brand Walmart carries. I get Namaste at Hy-Vee.

I don't have any problem making gluten-free baked goods, but good gluten free bread is extremely difficult. I don't think that any of the commercial gluten-free bread is any good.

Gluten-free bake goods cost a lot more than regualar baked good because gluten-free flour costs a lot more than wheat flour.

I grind my own gluten-free flour because buying it is so expensive and a lot of the commercially available stuff isn't all that good.

Why shouldn't gluten-free bread be on the vegetarian forum? It's a vegetarian product.
