My mother hated peanut butter in ALL forms. She would hold her breath while making PB&J sandwiches.
However, when she had to make cookies, she would clip her nose shut with a laundry pin while handling the dough.
Why would anyone have to make peanut butter cookies? My mother made cookies all the time and we never had a peanut butter cookie. And it wasn't that anyone hated peanut butter. Using it cookies never occurred to any of us.
My husband loves meatloaf and I do not, but I make it for him sometimes. He also likes lasagna and chili and I'm marginal on both of them; I make it for him and I will eat a little. I have made prime rib for him before, which I would not touch with a ten foot pole! I love spaghetti with meat sauce (hamburger) but the last time I made it, I made it with Italian sausage. He LOVED it, but I still prefer hamburger or just plain sauce/no meat. So I have a feeling I'll be making spaghetti with Italian sausage again.
